Personal experience

I have superb attention-to-detail and excellence balanced with pragmatism, along with the fortitude to not accede to capricious whims/ irrationality.  These attributes have underpinned my experience as a medical doctor (20 years, with 10 years in private practice) and in related spheres (medical education, medicolegal, medicoethical, medicoregulatory, and, to a lesser extent, medicopolitical), and as an entrepreneur in Australia (5 years) and London (7 years).

With a unique blend of health-care expertise & business acumen, I serve as an advisor to medical groups, such as Cosmétique (Australian cosmetic clinics chain). My role involves providing insights into the trends in aesthetic medicine/ beauty, with a focus on enhancing wellness for consumers, wellbeing of providers, and driving value for investors.  It is for these reasons that I take pride in respectfully ‘calling a spade, a spade’.

Similarly, I am an assessor in National Safety & Quality (NSQ) in Cosmetic Surgery Standards (CSS) for Quality Innovation Performance (QIP), a not-for-profit health promotion charity.  I was formerly a motorsports doctor and a ‘Designated Aviation Medical Examiner’ for C.A.S.A..  Since 2017, I have developed a passion for challenging the injustices that occur, notably in the world of medicine; this led me to being VP of Australian Health Reform and state secretary for Australian Medical Practitioners’ Society (AMPS).

I have published extensively, appeared on radio and television internationally, undertaken charitable surgery in the developing world, and have been a ‘key opinion leader’ for many energy
